アイリス・マリオン・ヤング

アイリス・マリオン・ヤング（Iris Marion Young、1949年1月2日 - 2006年8月1日)は、アメリカ合衆国の政治哲学者。専門は、フェミニズム政治・社会理論。20世紀後半を代表する政治理論家の一人とされる[1]。

ニューヨーク市生まれ。ニューヨーク市立大学クイーンズ校卒業後、ペンシルベニア州立大学で修士号および博士号取得[1]。ピッツバーグ大学公共・国際問題大学院を経て、2000年からシカゴ大学政治学部教授[2]。2006年、病気のため在職中に死去[2]。

『正義への責任』（原題 Responsibility for justice）は、病の中で執筆された遺作であり、ヤングの著書として日本で最初に翻訳・出版された[2]。
