解説

2017年6月にファーストシングルの「ウォール・オブ・グラス」のリリース、及びミュージック・ビデオの公開と同時に2017年10月6日にアルバムのリリースをすることが告知された[1]。また、リアムはアルバムのリリースに伴い、米国とカナダでのソロツアーを開始することを明らかにした[2]。アルバムのタイトルは、彼がTwitterで投稿する際に必ず載せている文章である[3]。

リアムはグレック・カースティンとダン・グレッチ-マルゲリット、アンドリュー・ワットとともにアルバム制作を行い、カースティンは「ウォール・オブ・グラス」、「ペーパー・クラウン」、「カム・バック・トゥ・ミー」、「ダズント・ハフ・トゥ・ビー・ザット・ウェイ」、ワットは「チャイナタウン」、グレッチ-マルゲリットはその他の曲をプロデュースした。 [4] デビューアルバムは全英1位を記録、トップ10入りしたアルバムの合計枚数を大きく上回った。また、ビニール盤は過去20年間で最高枚数の16000枚をたたき出した[5] 。

先行シングルとして、「ウォール・オブ・グラス」「チャイナタウン」「フォー・ホワット・イッツ・ワース」「グリーディー・ソウル」がアルバム発売前に発表されている。

ジャケット

表紙のジャケットは、ビートルズの『リボルバー』を担当したことでも有名なクラウス・フォアマンがデザインを担当した。また、中央のギャラガーの顔の絵が描かれており、下のアルバム名の文字のロゴは、本作の先行シングル4曲のシングルジャケットでも使用されている。

絵の上の「Liam Gallagher」の文字のロゴは、次作の「ホワイ・ミー?ホワイ・ノット」が発売されるまで、使用される頻度が多かった。
