略歴
ルアンダで免許を得た後、彼は公務員として働き出した。彼は抵抗詩によって名を上げ、政治的過激さの帰結として逮捕され、1960年から1972年までカーボベルデのタラファル収容所に送られた。仮釈放の時にリスボンに移転し、経理士として働いた。彼は1973年にアンゴラ解放人民運動に参加するために脱出した。まもなく1975年に独立が宣言され、1978年まで彼は教育相と文化長官を務めた。
