インド情報技術大学

インド情報技術大学 (Indian Institutes of Information Technology, IIITs) は、学術的かつ実践的な情報技術とその関連分野の高等教育を目標として設立されたインドの大学・研究機関のグループで、2022年7月現在、インド国内に25機関ある[1]。教育省が設置し運営する5つの機関と、国、及び州との官民連携により運営される20の期間からなる。

国内の情報技術領域ではインド工科大学やNational Institutes of Technologyに次ぐトップ校として認知されており[2]、2017年までに25機関全てが国家重要機関に指定されている[3]。

学部 (undergraduate level) から研究に力をいれている点で、教養課程があるインド工科大学などとの差別化を図っている。研究テーマのなかでも、自然言語処理（Natural Language Processing)、コンピューターヴィジョン・グラフィックス（Computer Vision/Computer Graphics）、超大規模集積回路（VLSI and Communication）、データベース（Databases)、Roboticsなどに力を入れていることで有名である。
