ウィスパーズ（The Whispers）は、カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス出身のアメリカ人グループで、1960年代後半からヒット曲を連発している。彼らは、1980年の「And the Beat Goes On」と、1987年の「Rock Steady」の2つのナンバーワンR＆BシングルがBillboard Hot 100 において、いずれも上位を記録している。

ウィスパーズは1963年にカリフォルニア州ワッツで結成された。元のメンバーには、ゴーディ・ハーモン、マーカス・ハトソン、ニコラス・コールドウェルとともに、一卵性双生児であるウォレス・"スコッティ"とウォルター・スコットが含まれていた。1966年にスライ・ストーンによってサンフランシスコ・ベイエリアに招待された後、グループはそのエリアに移り、ショーを止めるライブアクトとしての評判を高め始めた。ウォルター・スコットは、その期間中に18か月間ベトナム戦争で奉仕するように徴兵され、退役後1969年にグループに戻った。ハーモンは1973年に運転事故で喉頭を負傷した後、元フレンズ・オブ・ディスティンクションのメンバーであるリービル・ディグリーに交代した。
