コマネチ (バンド)

コマネチ（Comanechi）は、イギリスのロックバンド。日本出身のドラマー、ボーカリストアキコ・マツウラとギタリストであるサイモン・ペトロビッチの2人組のバンド。2005年からレコーディングを開始、2010年から1年半の間、チャーリー・ヒートンがドラマーとして在籍したが、その後脱退した。

概要

アキコ・マツウラ（Vo, Dr）、サイモン・ペトロビッチ（Gr）の2人組のパンク・ロック、ノイズロックバンド。2005年からレコーディングを開始、2009年にデビューアルバム「Crime of Love」をリリースした[1][2]。その後、チャーリー・ヒートン（Dr）が加入、2013年リリースのセカンドアルバム「You Owe Me Nothing But Love」、ワールドツアーに参加したが、一年半で脱退した[3]。

バンド名の由来

オリンピック選手ナディア・コマネチそのものでは無く、日本のジョーク（ビートたけしのものを指すと思われる）に由来しているとマツウラは語っている[2]。
