ジェシカ・チェン・ワイス（Jessica Chen Weiss）米国の米中関係を専門とする国際関係学者で、現在はコーネル大学政治学部のマイケル・J・ザック教授（中国・アジア太平洋研究）、アジア・ソサエティ政策研究所中国分析センターのシニアフェロー（中国政治、外交政策、国家安全保障）を務めている[1]。

経歴
2014年、オックスフォード大学出版局は彼女の著書『Powerful Patriots』を出版した[5][6][7][8][9][10]。
2021年8月から2022年7月までアメリカ合衆国国務省政策企画本部上級顧問を務めた[4]。現在は、コーネル大学政治学部のマイケル・J・ザック教授（中国・アジア太平洋研究）、アジア・ソサエティ政策研究所中国分析センターのシニアフェロー（中国政治、外交政策、国家安全保障）を務めている[3]。
彼女はアメリカ政府が中国との関係において「過度に対立的」なアプローチを避けるよう提唱している[11]。2022年8月に彼女が『フォーリン・アフェアーズ』に寄稿したこのアプローチを支持する記事は、イアン・ジョンソンによって『ザ・ニューヨーカー』誌に掲載され、彼女を「アメリカの外交政策が中国を脅威として不健全に重視することで苦しんでいると懸念する中国専門家の増加する最前線に押し上げた」と評された[12]。
