スンバワ語

スンバワ語 (basa Semawa; インドネシア語: bahasa Sumbawa) は、インドネシアのスンバワ島の西半分で話されているマレー・ポリネシア語派の言語である。（スンバワ島の東半分ではビマ語が話されている。）スンバワ語は隣接するロンボクとバリで話されている言語と密接に関係しており、中部マレー・ポリネシア言語連合に含まれない南インドネシアの言語の中で最西端に位置する。スンバワ語はSatera Jontalと呼ばれる固有の文字で書かれてきたが、ラテン文字でも書かれる。[2]
