ダニエル・カン

ダニエル・マリナス・カン（Daniel Marinus Kan）は、オランダ出身の数学者。マサチューセッツ工科大学名誉教授。圏論におけるカン拡張の概念を発表した。

略歴

1955年、ヘブライ大学から博士号（サミュエル・アイレンベルグ教授）、1960年代前半よりマサチューセッツ工科大学で教鞭をとった。1958年随伴関手を発見、1960年にカン拡張を発表した。また、トポロジーの分野でカンファイブレーションの概念を創始した。
