トゥインク (ゲイ・スラング)

トゥインク (英：Twink) とは、英語のゲイ・スラングのひとつで、若くてスリムで、体毛や顎鬚などが薄いか殆どない男性を指す[3][4]。一部では、フォックス、プラム、チック、チキン (ゲイ)（en）ともいう[5]

ブレント・コーリガン(Brent Corrigan)は、『Fuck Me Raw』で2008年のゴールデンディッキー賞「Best (アマチュア) Twink Performer - Bottom」を受賞し、当時所属していたスタジオ、コブラ・ビデオ(Cobra Video)は、彼の作品を中心に「Best (アマチュア) Twink Studio」を受賞した。[1][2]

類語として、女々しい男性という意味の twinkle-toes は軽蔑的な意味合いで用いられる傾向がある[6]。

語源
トゥインキーの名前の由来は、トゥインキーのお菓子。

同名の金色のペニス型のケーキ菓子、「トゥインキー」（典型的なジャンクフードの一つ）が語源となっている。この菓子は栄養価は殆ど無いが、甘く、中にはクリームが一杯つまっている[7][8]。クリームは、ザーメン（精液）を意味する婉曲表現でもある[9]。

エッセイストZeb J. Tortoriciは、ゲイ・トゥインク・ポルノが、視覚や肛門で男らしさを受容している作品とパフォーマンスで成功している点に注目している[10]。ツインキーの外観の金色は、日焼けした男性を暗示させる[11] 。

利用
2009年6月にニューヨーク州アルバニーで開催されたCapital Gay Prideのパレードでは、ツインクとクマの対比が見られる。若い金髪（中央）のネイキッド・ボーイ・ニュースのホスト、J.Son Dinantは、細身の体格と全体的に若々しい外見のため、一般的には双子っぽいと考えられているが、右側の男性、ポルノスターのManuel Torresは、がっしりとした体格と体毛のため、一般的には熊だと考えられてている。[12][13]

トゥインクと呼ばれるゲイ男性は、若々しさや清潔感のある顔を強調する為、顎鬚は剃っていることが多い。この用語は熊系のゲイからはしばしば侮蔑的に用いられることがある[14]。またこの語は、フェム・トゥインク、ユーロ・トゥインク、マッスル・トゥインクなどとも形容され、多くの場合はゲイ産業で使われる。

この語は "teenaged, white, into no kink" のバクロニムという説もあるが、根拠はない[15][16]。

記号 (コード)

コードとしては、身体的な特徴では、髪の色「c」、髪の長さや髭の有無などの「l」、若々しさの「y」、天賦の才能(endowment)の「e」などを含む。精神的なものでは、変態（kinky）の「k」や「queeniness」（en）の「q」などが含まれる。
