ペール・ウェーブス

ペール・ウェーヴス（Pale Waves）は、イングランドのマンチェスター出身のインディーロックバンドである。リードシンガーでギタリストのヘザー・バロン・グレイシーがマンチェスターの大学在学中にドラマーのキアラ・ドランと出会い、元々はCreekというバンド名で結成された。その後、ギタリストのヒューゴ・シルヴァーニとベーシストのチャーリー・ウッドが加わり現在の体制となった。

概要

2017年にDirty Hitとレコード契約を結び、デビュー・シングル「There's a Honey」をリリース。その後、ヒット・シングル「Television Romance」をリリース。翌年にはBBCサウンド・オブ・2018の投票で5位にランクインし、NMEアワードではNME Under the Rader賞を受賞。2018年2月にデビューEP『All the Things I Never Said』をリリース。同年9月14日にデビュー・アルバム『My Mind Makes Noises』をリリースしUKアルバム・チャートで8位を記録。2021年2月にはセカンド・アルバムとなる『Who Am I ?』をリリースした。[1]
