ミールヌイ基地
ミールヌイ基地はロシアの南極観測基地である。南緯66度33分、東経93度0分に位置し、インド洋・デービス海に面する地点にある。1956年2月13日にソビエト連邦の遠征隊によって開設された。

30個ほどの建物があり、夏季は約170名、冬季は約60名ほどの人員となる。雪氷学、地震学、気象学などの研究やオーロラ、宇宙線および海洋生物の観測・観察などが行われている。
