概要

ザ・チェインスモーカーズ初のフル・アルバムで、コールドプレイとのコラボ曲「サムシング・ジャスト・ライク・ディス」や「パリ」などシングル曲を含む12曲を収録[6]。

  1. ザ・ワン
    最初のヴァースの歌詞は、親友の結婚式に出席できなくて申し訳なかったと感じた後、携帯電話のノートパッドに書いたもの。2番のヴァースはロマンティックな関係からはもう離れてしまっているが、終わりにする勇気が出ない人についてのストーリーとされている。
  2. ブレイク・アップ・エヴリ・ナイト
    メンバーは、「他のどの収録曲よりも、インディー・ロックのルーツを明確に示している」と語っている。
  3. ブラッドストリーム
    ブリクストンでのショー終了後のロンドンで朝4時に書かれたもので、自問自答から自分たちが何者なのかってことを受け入れるということについて書かれた曲。
  4. ドント・セイ
    エミリー・ウォーレンとの共作で、常にうまくいっていないカップルを題材としたもの。
  5. サムシング・ジャスト・ライク・ディス
