カーンは、TI、2 Chainz、BoBなどのアーティストの音楽を作るヒップホッププロデューサーとしてキャリアをスタートさせた[6][7]。

2012年、彼のリミックスのいくつかが公式にリリースされた。最も注目すべきは、DiploのレコードレーベルMad DecentからリリースされたGent＆Jawnsの曲「Holler」のリミックスです。彼はウィルベイリーと曲「Rukus」を共同制作し、アルバムStrange CloudsからBoBのシングル「Play For Keeps」をプロデュースした[8]。彼はまた、Lazer Majorの2013年のシングル「Bubble Butt」を共同制作した[9][10]。音楽的に、彼はtrap指向である[11]。
