国名に「民国」（People's StateまたはPeopledom）を含む国
- 中華民国（通称・台湾）。特に「（中華）人民共和国」と組にして使う
- 大韓民国。日本語では単に「民国」と呼ぶことは少ない
民国紀元。上記の中華民国で使用されている、中華民国が成立した1912年を紀元（元年）とする紀年法
