ITV plcはグラナダとカールトンが合併した結果である[3][4]。ITV plcは2015年に1億ポンドの価格でUTVを買収し、スコットランド以外のイギリス全国のITV免許を保持するようになった[5]。現在、ITV plcは二つのディビジョンに分かれ[6]、放送、そして番組制作（ITV Studios）からなる。
2024年2月28日、ITV plcは現行のロゴを使用した[7]。
