日本のビジュアルノベル[注 1]を英語に翻訳して販売するほか、日本国外で開発したオリジナルのビジュアルノベル、ビジュアルノベル以外のゲーム、漫画なども販売する。

歴史

2007年に日本のビジュアルノベル『School Days』を非公式に翻訳するファングループとして始まった[1][注 2]後、ライセンサー兼ディストリビューターのJAST USAと提携し、公式に翻訳する組織へ転身した[3]。

2014年にはSteamでのゲーム販売を始めた。処女作は、支倉凍砂がシナリオを担当した『World End Economica episode.01』であり、同年6月に発売された。クラウドファンディングサービスのKickstarterを利用して多くの作品の資金を集めており、同年11月にはKickstarterにて『CLANNAD』の英語版の資金を集め始めると、目標額の140,000ドルには容易に達し、最終的には500,000ドル以上の資金が集まった[4]。

2015年7月にはビデオゲームに加えて漫画の翻訳も始めると告知し、小説『ゲート 自衛隊 彼の地にて、斯く戦えり』の翻訳を行うと発表した[5]。

将来的には、英語以外の言語へ翻訳することにも関心があると述べている。[6]。

Steamはアダルトゲームの販売を通常は認めないため[7]、Sekai Projectは提携企業であるDenpasoftを通じてそれらのゲームを販売している。英語版『グリザイアの果実』のような全年齢商品はSteam上で得られるが、成人向けのゲームはDenpasoftのウェブサイト上で直接販売している[8]。
