今作とそれに伴うツアーを最後に、スティーヴ・ハウが脱退した。

解説

前作から2年2ヶ月ぶりのアルバム。収録曲の中からフェイス・オン・ザ・ブリッジがシングルカットされた。[1] 「XXX」はローマ数字でありデビュー・アルバム「詠時感〜時へのロマン」をリリースしてから30年を迎えたということから。 アルバムのジャケットは前作と同様、ロジャー・ディーンが担当した。

チャート

アメリカのビルボードチャートでは134位[2]。イギリスのアルバム・チャートは69位で、アストラ以来のトップ100入りになった。[3]

オリコンチャートでは5回ランクインし、36位を記録。
