アメリカンナンバー
アメリカンナンバー（American Numbers）またはアメリカンファミリー（American Families）はサラブレッドなどの競走馬を分類する牝系のひとつで、ジェネラルスタッドブックに記載された繁殖牝馬に遡れない北アメリカの母系の総称である。

概要
ファミリーナンバーの概念が登場した当時に、血統書の紛失などの理由で血統が不明確になっているものの、サラブレッドの牝系として認知された北アメリカの競走馬の牝系を分類したものである。アメリカ合衆国で製作された独自の血統書「アメリカンスタッドブック」を元に番号が割り振られ、現在までに公式として認知された牝系が39本存在する。
ジェネラルスタッドブックへと遡れないとされるが、いずれも本来はイギリスのファミリーナンバーへと遡れるものであると考えられており、有名なところではA4号族はファミリーナンバー21号族に遡れることが有力視されている。
現代においては繁殖牝馬の輸出などで、北アメリカ以外にもアメリカンファミリーの競走馬・繁殖牝馬が導入されている。日本で競走・繁殖生活を送ったアメリカンファミリーの競走馬の代表例に、ヤマニンパラダイス・ノーリーズン・トランセンド・ワンアンドオンリー ・メイショウハリオ・テーオーロイヤル（いずれもA4）、ストロングリターン（A13）、タカエノカオリ（A31）、タカオー（A39）などがいる。
基礎牝馬
現在までに認知されているアメリカンファミリーはA1からA39までの39本で、それ以外にもa40からa90までの牝系の存在が確認されている。以下はA39までの基礎牝馬を示す。
