ゴートウォーター

ゴートウォーターまたはキディシチューとは、 [2]カリブ海の島であるモントセラトの郷土料理のシチューの一つである。 [3]モントセラトの国民食である。 [4] [5] [6]

ゴートウォーターはヤギ肉 、 パンノキ 、野菜、玉ねぎ、トマト、スパイス、ハーブ、小麦粉を用いて作られる。 [7] [8] ラム酒、ウイスキーなどの蒸留酒や様々な芋なども加えられることがある。 [2] [9] ごはんと一緒に食べられることもある。 [10] また、スパイスやハーブでスパイシーで風味豊かに仕上げられる。

起源

ゴートウォーターはアイルランドが発祥とされている。 [2] [7] [11] この料理は牛肉の代わりに山羊肉を使った「アイルランド風シチュー」とも言われてる。 [12]

歴史

過去にはゴートウォーターではなくキディシチューと呼ばれていた。 [2]
