Now-Again Records（ナウ・アゲイン・レコード)は、1960年代から1980年代までのファンク、ソウル、サイケデリック・ロックのリイシューとコンピレーションを専門とする、ロサンゼルスを拠点とする音楽レーベルである。

2002年にストーンズ・スロウ・レコードの子会社としてエーテン・"エゴン"・アラパットによって設立され、その後、膨大なグローバル・カタログと独自のコンテンポラリー・アーティスト名簿を持つ独立レーベルへと成長した。

歴史

ナウ・アゲイン・レコードは2002年、当時ストーンズ・スロウ・レコードのゼネラル・マネージャーだったイーテン・アラパットによって設立された[1]。もともとこのインプリントは、前年にエゴンが編集したストーンズ・スロウ初のアンソロジー『The Funky 16 Corners』の成功を受けて、アメリカのファンクやソウル・ミュージックを再発するために設立された。L.A.カーニバル、エボニー・リズム・バンド、カシミア・ステージ・バンド、アムネスティといったアーティストの作品をリリースした[2]。

2000年代後半、ナウ・アゲインはグローバルな視点を取り入れ、インド（Atomic Forest）、インドネシア、ザンビア（WITCH、Ngozi Family、Amanaz）、ジンバブエ、エチオピア（Ayalew Mesfin）、ナイジェリア、イラン（Kourosh Yaghmaei）といった国々の1970年代の音楽シーンをフィーチャーした音楽のリイシューやアンソロジーの編纂も始めた。彼らのコンピレーションは、独自のリサーチによって補完されている[2]。

ナウ - アゲインのカタログに掲載されている音楽がよくサンプリングされるのは、そのわかりやすい楽曲提供方法と厳選されたライブラリーのおかげでもある[3]。カニエ・ウェストはナウ・アゲインのカタログをサンプリングしている[4]; ビヨンセやジャネット・ジャクソンの曲にもサンプリングされている[5]。

ナウ・アゲインは2010年に法人化し、音楽小売のラップキャッツやレーベルのマッドリブ・インヴァジオンと提携している[6][7]。アラパットは2011年にストーンズ・スロウを離れ、ナウ・アゲインなどの活動に専念している。

2022年初頭、アラパットはDef Jam Recordingsからの7作目にして最後のアルバム『Vinyl Days』にサンプルを提供するため、ナウ・アゲイン・レコードの全カタログをロジックに送った。2022年1月11日から1月20日まで、エゴンはロジックと共にアルバム制作に取り組んだ。アルバムは2022年6月17日にリリースされた。その結果、彼はロジックのアルバムに関するドキュメンタリーに大きく取り上げられている[8]。
