1985年に発売されたアルバム『α-BET-CITY』[2]以来約4年ぶりとなる、ニューヨークレコーディングが行われたアルバム[3]。

    • 1982年に、ワンダーシティ・オーケストラ名義で発売されたアルバム『INFORMATION』[5]に収録されている同名楽曲のセルフカバー。改めて収録するにあたり、歌詞をすべて変更したうえでレコーディングされた。
  4. HOLLY'S ISLAND
    • 「東洋的なメロディラインとラテン的なサウンドをドッキングさせたらどうなるか」という意識で作った楽曲。タイトルの『HOLLY'S』は、今回のアルバムに参加したドラマーのスティーヴ・ホリーと、聖なる夜という意味である「Holly Night」からとった[4]。
  5. MARIA
    • 元々シングル用に制作した楽曲で、久石いわくバラード路線を意識しているという[4]。
  6. MIDNIGHT CRUISING
