ワールドラグビーHSBCセブンズシリーズ
SVNSは、ワールドラグビー主催の7人制ラグビー国際大会シリーズ。男子・女子ともあるが、ここでは男子大会について述べる。1999-2000シーズンから始まり、2010-2011シーズンからHSBCが冠スポンサーとなり「HSBCセブンズシリーズ」となる[1]。参加国は12月から翌年の6月まで世界各地を転戦し、各大会ごとにポイントが加算され、シーズン総合優勝が決まる。最多優勝は、ニュージーランド（14回）。

大会
毎年11月から翌年5月にかけて、10カ国持ち回りのサーキット方式で行われる。開催する国または地域と大会名の通称は以下の通りである。日程は24シーズンから。

Notes
- Most of these tournaments were established when added to the World Series, with certain exceptions. The two oldest are Dubai, which began in 1970, and Hong Kong which began in 1976.[注釈 2] The tournaments in Australia and France date back to 1986 and 1996, respectively.[注釈 3][注釈 4]

大会フォーマット
- 各大会に参加するのはシリーズ全戦に出場するコアチーム15チームとゲストチーム1チームの合計16チームである。
- 大会初日は参加16チームを4チーム×4プールにわかれて。総当りのリーグ戦をおこない各プールの順位を決める。各プール上位2チームは大会優勝をかけたカップ戦へ、下位2チームは9位以下の順位を決めるボウル戦へ。大会二日目はトーナメント戦をおこなう。カップ戦は各プールの1位対2位、ボウル戦は各プール3位対4位で1回戦を戦い。カップ戦敗者はプレート戦(5位決定戦)へ、ボウル戦敗者はシールド戦(13位決定戦)に進む。その後はカップ戦を除き破れた時点でその大会の順位が確定するがカップ戦は3位決定戦を行なう。

- 予選を通過した4チーム
- 予選は12チームを4チーム×3プールに分かれてリーグ戦を行う。
- 各プール上位2チームと3位の上位2チームがトーナメントに進む。
- トーナメント1回戦の勝者が予選通過となる。
- シーズンは各大会での獲得ポイントの合計で争われる。

- Notes
- Due to impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, only two tournaments were played during the 2021 series (instead of the usual ten) and most of the top teams from the 2019–20 series did not compete.[8]
テレビ放送
2024シーズンからラグビーパスで有料中継。
日本国内では2014-15シーズンにコアチームとして出場を決めたため、J SPORTSで全戦中継されるが、日本大会を除き全戦録画中継が中心で、日本戦とカップ準決勝・決勝のみ放送された。2020シーズンはWOWOWで録画中継。
