漢字構成記述文字とは、Unicodeに含まれていない漢字などを、他の漢字を組み合わせによって記述する際に、それぞれの漢字がどのように配置されるのかを指し示す前置演算子として使用される特殊文字である[3]。漢字構成記述文字は、それによって完全な字形に変換することを目的とはしておらず、単に構成要素の配置を説明するために使用される。
