概要
前作『togetherness』から1年3か月ぶりのアルバム。
オリコンチャート3位を記録。
発売した全アルバムで最高の売上を記録。
ブックレット最初の曲目が印字されている部分には『DISCOVEREY』と誤記されている。
9曲目「瞬く星に」では、Stevie Wonderの『Innervisions』などによる影響のもと、Dean ParksとDavid "T" Walkerの共演を実現させ、西村智彦も大きな収穫を得た。
2015年2月11日にデジタルリマスターされブルースペック2CDで再発された[1]。
