Intel Quark
Intel Quark(インテル・クォーク)とは、インテルが開発した32ビット x86 の SoC。サイズが小さく、低消費電力なのが特徴で、ウェアラブルコンピュータなどをターゲットとしている。消費電力は Intel Atom よりも少ない[1]。CPUの命令セットはPentium (P54C/i586) と同じで[2]、MMX や SSE などの SIMD 命令セットに対応しない[3]。組み込みOSのみ対応する。2013年にインテル・デベロッパー・フォーラムで発表された。

Quark X1000 は開発用マイクロコントローラー基板である Intel Galileo に搭載された[4]。
最終受注期限予定は2019年7月19日、最終出荷期限予定は2022年7月17日。[5]
ラインナップ
X1000

2013年10月3日発表。プロセスルールは 32nm。MMX や SSE には対応しない。開発コードは Clanton。X1000 を使用し、メモリ256MBで Arduino 互換の開発ボード Intel Galileo が発売された[6]。
最初のQuarkの製品はシングルコア32 nm X1000 SoC のクロック周波数は最大400 MHzである。システムはPCIe、 UART、 I2C、 Fast Ethernet、 USB 2.0、 SDIO、 PMCや GPIOといった複数のインターフェースを備える。512kバイトの組み込みSRAMと統合されたDDR3メモリー制御装置をチップ上に備える。[7][8]

Intel Edison
プロセスルール 22nm を採用して、SDメモリーカードにシステム全体が収まる Edison が2014年1月に発表された[1]。SDカード大でWiFiやBluetoothを備える[12]。当初は、Intel Quark を使用する予定だったが、最終的に Intel Atom が採用された。Quark を使用する予定の時はシステム全体の消費電力を1W以下にするつもりであった。
