2019年 FIBA女子アジアカップ 2019年9月24日から29日までインドのバンガロールで開催された。今大会出場国は東京オリンピックのアジア・オセアニア予選会への出場権を獲得する[1][2]

参加チーム

大会方式

8つの参加チームを2つのグループに分けて総当たりの予選リーグを行う。各グループの1位チームは自動的に準決勝に進出し、2位と3位チームはプレーオフを行い勝者が準決勝に進出する。各グループの4位チーム同士で7位決定戦を行い、敗者は次回大会からディビジョンBに降格する。

今大会のディビジョンAの7位までのチームと、ディビジョンB優勝チームに東京オリンピック予選（w:Basketball at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's qualification）の出場権を獲得する予定だったが、ディビジョンB大会が開催されなかったため、ディビジョンA8位のインドにもオリンピック予選出場権が与えられた。[4][5][6]
